Sarath - VU3RSB –has traveled most for promotion of Ham Radio in India. A keen DXer, Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services member, Net Organizer, and originator of a few remarkable Nets.

In 2004, joined the Andaman & Nicobar Islands DXpedition (VU4 DXpedition) and made more than 16,000 Contacts in SSB and also in PSK & SSTV Mode. (1st time Digital Contacts from Andaman Islands). When the Tsunami struck, the Expedition changed over to Tsunami Emergency Communications. Helped the Local People of Islands, the Andaman Administration with fellow team members and received World Wide Appreciation. Various awards were received by Team Leader Bharathi, VU2RBI on behalf of the team.

In 2006, again joined the Andaman & Nicobar Islands DXpedition along with the Fellow Dxers from Germany, USA, Italy, France and I was the lone Indian! It was truly Global Friendship from the Emerald Islands.

Recipient of Rajiv Gandhi Award for the year 1996 & 1997, International Humanitarian Award for 2005, and many more awards for Promotion of and Service to Amateur Radio in India.
