VU2MTT, Name : Vishnumurthy (handle:MUR) licenced since 1988. Started the ham activity with Grade II callsign: VU2FHZ. In the earlier days was very active using Home made Transceiver and small Amplifier (using Tubes 1625). In 1990 Upgraded to Grade I licence with VU2MTT call.

Recently in 2005 upgraded the Licence to Advance Grade. Was regularly participated in CQWW contest and other major contests. In 1997 Got ASIA NO.1 in CQCWW -CW Low power catagory.

Major interest in working DX in CW. Working CW pileups is the happiest time in Ham Radio. Other interests are Home brewing electronic items, Antennas etc.,

One of the member in VUIOTA team, group of Hams from Mangalore and Manipal successfully had Expedition in tough time island AS161 (Sacrifice Rock). Also operated AS096 (St. Marys Island)
