We are happy to inform you that Amateur Radio Society of India (ARSI) India has received the Permission from the Government of India for Lakshadweep Islands the Most Wanted DXCC 2 with Call Sign VU7LD. The Operation is from 1st December to 30th December 2006.

The Amateur Radio Society of India (ARSI) is the officially recognized society representing the interests of Indian Amateurs for several decades.

It is the society that officially represents the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) in India, coming within Region 3, and VU2GMN the current ARSI President is also a Director of IARU Region 3.

The ARSI Members and Indian Clubs are mainly using their own Radio Equipment to support the VU7LD Team. As per rough  estimates for the 30 Member Team, the requirement of funds will be around US$ 45,000 for the 30 Days Operation with basic amenities, the major expenses being for Logistics and Accommodation as almost all almost all food has to be shipped across
